1310 November 4 Kaifeng, Cathay - Birth of Tāo-Cáoo. 1340 May 11 Kaifeng, Cathay - Tāo-Cáoo begins his final search for Xanadu. November 19 Siberia - Tāo-Cáoo discovers Xanadu. He enters the ice dome and is captured. {"The Milk of Paradise"} He is placed into suspended animation while alien nanobots reconfigure his physical form. 1470 April 23 Siberia - Tāo-Cáoo awakens and flees into the wilderness to the northwest. Xanadu self-destructs. {"The Milk of Paradise"} 1502 March 15 Volgada, Russia - After many adventures and detours across northern Asia, Tāo-Cáoo returns to more civilized lands in western Russia. Here he first adopts the name Vladimir Niktoyavich ("Son of No One"). {"Shadows in Volgada"*} 1512 November-December Afghanistan - Abandoning a diplomatic mission given him by Basil III in favor of wandering freedom, Vladimiro travels south. He discovers a mountain bandit stronghold and rescues an Indian princess. {"The Rogue and the Rani"*} He spends the next century roaming widely throughout southern, then western Europe. 1596 September 4 Nottinghamshire, England - Birth of Lamentation Payneo. 1632 October 24 Northern Saxony - Vladimiro seeks out and meets Thunoro. After a showing of battle prowess for manners' sake, they become traveling companions. {"The Milk of Paradise"} 1633 May 26 Saxony - Thunoro and Vladimiro investigate some strange local rumors. {"The Cave of Baalshazar"*} 1665 June 30 Lisboa, Portugal - Thunoro and Vladimiro sail aboard the Sea Queen bound for Naples, Italy. July 2 Straits of Gibraltar - The Sea Queen's slave crew revolts and takes control of the ship. A new heading is taken toward western Africa. August 14 Africa - The Sea Queen wrecks on the shoals off what will later be Nigeria. Vladimiro and Thunoro become separated. September 28 Africa - Thunoro becomes war-chief of a primitive tribe. 1669 June 19 Africa - After years of search, Vladimiro finally locates Thunoro in his village. Both are forced to flee due to a dispute with the local shaman. {"A Short Life and a Merry One!*"} June 20 Africa - Vladimiro and Thunoro come upon a beached pirate vessel, the Crimson Gull. They help repair the ship in exchange for passage. Vladimir takes the name Jacob Grinn. {"A Short Life and a Merry One!*"} June 23 Africa - The Crimson Gull sails for the Caribbean. {"A Short Life and a Merry One!*"} July 30 Port Royal, Jamaica - Trip shortened by Thunor'so wind powers, the Crimson Gull docks in Port Royal. {"A Short Life and a Merry One!*"} November 11 Hispaniola - Captain Bill Barkswell is killed by grape-shot in a raid on Spanish merchant ships. Jacobo is elected leader of the Crimson Gull as Captain Black Jack Grinn. {"A Short Life and a Merry One!*"} December 25 Port Royal, Jamaica - Captain Black Jack Grinno meets with Jamaican Governor Thomas Modyford and acquires privateering credentials. {"A Short Life and a Merry One!*"} 1671 January The Isthmus of Panama - The Crimson Gull joins Henry Morgan's assault on Panama. They become lost in the jungle on the way. The crew of the Gull perishes. {"A Short Life and a Merry One!*"} Afterward, disheartened, Jacobo assumes the identity of merchant Edward Fynch. He and Thunoro book passage for London. 1707 July 17 London, England - Thunoro and Edwardo part ways for the last time. Thunor returns to the northern European countryside and Edward moves operations to Rome. 1745 April 9 Paris, France - After investigating leads throughout southern Europe, Edwardo establishes a base of operations in Paris and constructs dozens of different identities and bolt holes. 1780 March 15 Paris, France - Edwardo moves operations to London, foreseeing trouble ahead for France. He changes identities to Etienne Bernaux. 1797 September 30 London, England - Etienneo meets and befriends Samuel Coleridge. 1816 November 14 London, England - Samuel Coleridge publishes "Kubla Khan". 1823 May 3 Kythira, Greece - Etienneo confronts the Furies and is made their stalking horse. Etienne blacks out for decades. {"The Milk of Paradise"} 1853 March 9 Egypt - Etienneo wakens in the Sahara in terror. {"The Milk of Paradise"} He spends the next year traveling to San Francisco, mostly by sea. 1854 February 6 San Francisco, California - Etienneo arrives in San Francisco. He changes his identity to Patrick Clark and retreats to the mountains in northern California to become a fur trader. 1889 March 23 Northern California - Patrick Clarko disappears in the mountains. He changes his identity to William Walker and moves to Billings, Montana. There he buys a small farm and also does some mining, laying the groundwork for the later founding of the Great Sky Mining Company. 1919 October 8 Billings, Montana - William Walkero moves the offices of the Great Sky Mining Company to Chicago. He assumes the identity of his own nephew, Thomas Walker, and retires, turning the company over to himself. 1928 December 8 Chicago, Illinois - Thomas Walkero sells off the Great Sky Mining Company, switches identities to Bill Cooper and takes a job with the city's Records Department. 1930 July 5 Chicago, Illinois - The curse of the Furies causes Bill Coopero to absorb some of the energies released from the Fountain of Zeus by Marcus Cole and Stefan Richter. He releases a large amount of this energy into a small meteorite that crashes to Earth. It is found by precocious eight year old Hermonius Brinkmano and will later be used as the basis of many of his scientific breakthroughs. Bill becomes a nameless wanderer for decades to come. {"The Milk of Paradise"} 1947 January 5 Washington, D.C. - During the final procedures of his Super-Soldier treatments, "Fox" Browno appears to die as his life-force is stolen and absorbed by a nameless wanderero outside the building. {"The Milk of Paradise"} 1981 August 13 Harlem, New York, New York - Affluent young boys Camerono and Thomas Kane, Jr. find themselves in a bad part of town after taking the wrong bus. They are assaulted by an angel-dust crazed gang member who shoots at Cameron, but Thomas steps in front of the bullet and dies. {"The Milk of Paradise"} Cameron is found by EMTs and is "non-responsive", perfectly able to follow directions, but refusing to communicate in any way. August 22 Spokane, Washington - A nameless wanderero secretly irradiates Sheila Kandinskyo in utero, altering her genetic structure. {"The Milk of Paradise"} 1995 January 22 Oconomowoc, Wisconsin - The nameless wanderero assumes a short-term identity as substitute teacher Paul Jennings in order to teach Will Jefferson'so class and instill a super-hero worship in Will that will help define his later career. {"The Milk of Paradise"} 2006 June 19 The Hollows, Paragon City, Rhode Island - Decorumo rescues an amnesiac boy with seeming superhuman powers from the Circle of Thorns. The boyo is taken to Chiron Medical Center for treatment.{"The Milk of Paradise"} Skyway City, Paragon City, Rhode Island - Bart Sampson discovers a strangely glowing broken radiation suit behind a warehouse in Skyway City. He and a friend manage to drag it home without being seen.{"The Milk of Paradise"} August 18 Paragon City, Rhode Island - The Great Chronal Event of August 2006 AKA The Infinity Crisis begins. Waves of chronal energy sweep the eastern coast of the United States, creating pockets of displaced time. {"The Infinity Crisis"} August 21 Paragon City, Rhode Island - The final battle between Anachronus Caesar and Future-Mano ends with Future-Man defeated and laying dying. The Grand Chronarcho is mentioned for the first time. Future-Man attempts to use the last of his energy to summon a champion from the time-stream. Latching onto the recently released ambient life-force of Christopher "Fox" Browno, Future-Man imbues the avatar with the last of his energy. The avatar absorbs all of Anachronus Caesar's energy through the crack in his armor, imploding and destroying him. {"The Milk of Paradise"} A nameless wanderero is found in a Steel Canyon alleyway and sent to Steel Canyon Medical Center. {"The Infinity Crisis"} August 22 Steel Canyon, Paragon City, Rhode Island - The nameless wanderero is diagnosed as catatonic. He is given the name John Doe and transferred to the Polk and Prodd Sanitarium just outside the city. October 3 Paragon City, Rhode Island - John Doe becomes Cut-Upo.{"The Milk of Paradise"} He physically transforms overnight. October 5 Paragon City, Rhode Island - Cut-Upo first appears in Paragon City, escaping the Polk and Prodd Sanitarium for the first of many times. October 8 Perez Park, Paragon City, Rhode Island - After encountering and assisting Legion of Valor members, Cut-Upo is returned to the Polk & Prodd Sanitarium. Legion of Valor leader Cosmic Titan makes an agreement with Alexander Polk to watch over Cut-Up should he escape again. Cut-Up is given restricted access to visit the Legion occasionally at their base. 2007 June 9 Brickstown, Paragon City, Rhode Island - Cut-Upo meets Joy-Buzzer, who becomes his sidekick. {"Ode to Joy: The Story of Joy-Buzzer"} July 17 - Paragon City, Rhode Island - The Knight-Watchmano, Cut-Upo, Decorumo, Kid Decorumo, Deportmento, USAceo, Nuclear-Warheado, Thunoro, Scarlet Willo and Dragyno battle the Masque of Red Deatho, Count Camuso and Discourtesyo. The Knight-Watchman, Cut-Up, Deportment, Kid Decorum, USAce, Nuclear-Warhead and Dragyn all join the Legion of Valor afterward. {"Destiny's Children"*} |
