ORIGIN & HISTORY: While Major Christopher "Fox" Brown of the Army Air Corps was an excellent pilot, he wasn't much of a soldier otherwise. He alternated much of his time between his cockpit and the brig. After WW II, he got bored and volunteered for a super-soldier program. Twice passed over during the war, Fox was accepted with the volunteer level at a much lower pace. In 1947, he was inoculated, irradiated and electrocuted...and the result was his death. Only his old CO and a few flying buddies showed up for the funeral, as Fox's parents had died when he was young. Christopher Brown was forgotten by most.

During the final, fateful battle between Future-Man and Anachronus Caesar that ended the Great Chronal Event of August 2006, chronal rifts appeared throughout the eastern seaboard. The struggle between the two Time Titans was more than the fabric of reality could stand. Mortally wounded, Future-Man was able to invoke one final feat. Bursting with chronal energy, the awakened (and altered) body of Fox Brown appeared and destroyed Anachronus Caesar. Future-Man's final act was to explain to Fox what had happened, and to imbue him with the last of the hero's energy before he died.

The power apparently subsided, Fox Brown received a clean bill of health (as well as a rather hefty back paycheck) from the Army. He remained in Paragon City, fighting the good fight as USAce, the Human Fighter Jet!

It was at the end of the adventure known as "Chronopolis in Crisis!" that it was revealed that USAce was no longer human, but a construct of chronal energy. But when The Grand Chronarch released Ace's full chronal potential, his connection to his ally Nuclear-Warhead's healing radiation caused a massive feedback, melding Nuke's armor with his physical being at a cellular level. Both heroes were left for months with their bodies in unfamiliar forms.

To stabilize a critical pocket dimension, the Grand Chronarch once sent USAce and a group of Legion of Valor members to a time-pocket in which USAce had been accepted to the Super-Soldier program during WW II. He and the Legion members only remember this as an intense dream.

When Anachronus Caesar returned, he captured the Grand Chronarch and took control of the Limboverse. Heroes from many times, including USAce, were drawn to Chronopolis to defeat Anachronus Caesar. On the return trip home, a temporal anomaly stranded eight of the "Time-Lost" heroes in USAce's era. USAce's energy form also came under his control, only appearing with a great expenditure of energy, while appearing human at all other times.

USAce acted as the pilot for Elihu's ship and accompanied fellow Legion of Valor members Elihu and Spider-Dragon to Elihu's homeworld.

POWERS & ABILITIES: USAce's body is constructed entirely of a unique blend of magical and chronal energies. He subconsciously simulates a human form down to the cellular level unless he releases massive amounts of energy in what he calls his "Nova Blast", in which case he can only retain a glowing vaguely human shape. He can utilize his energies as energy blasts, force bolts and to fly. He is also an adept at piloting flying vehicles. His helmet contains a computer tracking device and his stainless steel costume acts as body armor. He also occasionally uses a large multi-rifle he calls "Big Bubba" for explosive or freezing effect.

USAce is my nod to all patriotic heroes, particularly the time-lost Captain America ... I went through the dictionary under A about ten times before deciding on the Ace part of the name ... Future-Man was an energy/energy blaster that I created at an SG-mate's request for more Silver Age tights characters (and just in time for the CoH 2nd Anniversary Silver Age party), but, he wasn't really striking my fancy, so I made him part of the new blaster's story to mark his passing...
