ORIGIN & HISTORY: Bill Sampson's brother Bart always had sticky fingers. But Bill was more than surprised to see what Bart had "acquired" from Crey Industries...a fully functional battle-suit! Bart refused to tell Bill the details, but since Crey had ruined their research scientist father's career and, ultimately, his life, driving him to suicide, Bill couldn't find it in him to shed any tears for the monolithic corporation. Taking the suit out to help the heroes recover Paragon City seemed only natural.

It was at the end of the adventure known as "Chronopolis in Crisis!" that it was revealed that USAce was no longer human, but a construct of chronal energy. But when The Grand Chronarch released Ace's full chronal potential, his connection to his ally Nuclear-Warhead's healing radiation caused a massive feedback, melding Nuke's armor with his physical being at a cellular level.

But in an adventure on the other side of the galaxy, Nuclear-Warhead and the Starguard met up with an ancient race who were able to separate skin and circuitry. The problem was, they had no idea how the suit was supposed to be put together. So they improvised, improving much on Nuke's old clunky Crey suit.

POWERS & ABILITIES: Bill Sampson has no super-abilities, they all come from his battle-suit. His suit can fire coherent radiation blasts, send out healing radiation, cause weakness in his foes and their equipment and act as a limited armor. His helmet is able to fire x-ray beams, and contains an on-board computer for targeting, tracking, internet access, radio, full spectrum telescopic/microscopic vision and audio/visual recording. His boot jets allow him to fly.
