Dear Dad,
It was wonderful to have you come visit me here in Paragon City, despite the circumstances. I guess if I had to catch a bug, it would have to be a super-bug! Not surprised to find such things here. Evanston isn't exactly a center for super-hero activity. I can believe I didn't run into such things there. It is a shame that we can't figure out where or how I got it, though. Still, as long as you had a fix, I'm good with that.
I tell you I might just have panicked, waking up like that with no idea where I was or what happened. But your face leaning over me gave me the confidence that everything would be all right.
I DO miss you and the rest back at the Complex a LOT (even Bertie hounding me about picking up my stuff ). Having you come visit for a couple of days after fixing me up was just what I needed! I took the film in for developing today, so I'll send some pictures with my next letter.
I seem to be improving daily! Today, my teammate Catesby and I (you'd like her...she's really sweet and funny) cleaned out a Troll nest in the Hollows and went through them like a whirlwind. I think I'm actually a bit stronger, faster and tougher than I ever have been before. I guess weathering the tough times just has you come out the other end better. Not that I want to put that to the test very often.
Again, thanks for spending some time here in Paragon with me. I know you always have such a busy schedule, and it meant a lot to me (of course, saving my life is nothing to sneeze at, either).
I love you, Dad. Tell all the gang I said hello and show them the pictures when they're done.
