ORIGIN & HISTORY: It was the bottom of the barrel for Randy Bowlen. He'd left Tuscon to go to Los Angeles to break into the music business. But one failure followed another and after a year Randy found himself living behind a dumpster in an alley, his guitar as only possession. That was where the alien found him. Sensing great determination and courage in Randy, if not ability, the alien presence offered Randy a proposition. A melding. Homeless, penniless and friendless, Randy had nothing to lose and agreed. And so was born the Starguard, Guardian from the Stars! In an adventure on the other side of the galaxy, Nuclear-Warhead and the Starguard met up with an ancient race who were able to separate Nuclear-Warhead's skin and circuitry that had been fused together. POWERS & ABILITIES: The Starguard is the result of the fusion of an alien Kheldian and an ordinary human. This melding increased Randy's size considerably, and altered his body's abilities. He can fire blasts of luminous energy and encase himself in protective bubbles. He can also fly. In addition, he can shape-shift, able to assume other forms the Kheldian has shared space with, most notably the "Bright Nova" (an airborne creature able to fire powerful luminous energy blasts) and "White Dwarf" (a stocky creature impervious to most types of harm with teleporting abilities) forms. Randy is also a musician of medium skill level, able to play the guitar, piano, harmonica and drums with some proficiency and has several notebooks full of unsold songs.
