ORIGIN & HISTORY: I: Ramona de Vasquez was just another low-level reporter covering the World Trade Center tragedy when falling debris ended her life. But the fabled white light at the end of the tunnel wasn't white, it blazed gold and red! From the light, the great Titan Prometheus appeared to her. "It is not your time yet, young one," the fire-haired god claimed, "You will return in the guise of my agent of myth, Mytheria!" "Mytheria?" asked the budding journalist, "Isn't she just a comic book character?" The Titan roared with laughter. "That she is, but all things of imagination are real, as you shall learn. And that is what is lacking in you...imagination! But you shall learn. Know that you are not the first, nor shall you be the last! Wield the Promethean Flames in my name!" The great god chuckled as Ramona faded back to physical reality, seven years after her death. "Mytherias past will aid you, but at great peril. Seek self in the realms of myth, but nothing is ever as it seems." II: She was known only as "Gemma Flames", the only Mytheria not to use the name. Also referred to as "The Spirit of the '90s", Gemma came on the scene in '91, a foul-mouthed, cigarette-addicted British lass with some ideas on what the world should be. She concentrated more on fighting corrupt governments, violence towards women and children and street level drug trade far more than fighting super-criminals, using a small covert band of operatives to aid her. She died on December 31, 2000, shortly after saving a mother and child from a crack den, when she was riddled with automatic gunfire from a street-gang that had set a trap for her. Her final act was to immolate in flames the entire gang and the building they occupied, her last words the title of this post, a sentiment she'd expressed quite frequently during her tenure as Mytheria. The lessons she shall be teaching Ramona will be about the power to change the world and that it's not beyond the realm of imagination to do so. Her operatives still strive on in her memory, the inspiration she left them driving them to make the world a better place. POWERS & ABILITIES: Decorum's genetic alterations make him a powerful energy storehouse. His flesh is far denser than human and able to withstand a great deal more punishment. Channeling his energy through his fists, he gives stunning blows and knocks foes around like tissue paper. He can use his energies to fly, or to project heat rays from his eyes.
