ORIGIN: Mary Smith was the quintessential "plain Jane". After a humiliating experience on prom night, Mary was filled with hatred for all humanity. After saying the fateful words "I'd sell my soul to have them panting after me!" her wish was granted. A demonic creature calling himself Satan appeared to her, and offered her a job as his secretary. Mary agreed, but only if he'd change that to "Personal Assistant". She was transformed, body and soul, into the murderous femme fatale known as Lola de Ville!
Early in her career, she joined a super-villain group called "The Deadly Sins" as Lust. On their third outing, however, they ran into the Freedom Phalanx. Two of the seven were destroyed and four of the others were incarcerated. Lola, however, was able to cloud Manticore's mind long enough to escape. She now roams the Rogue Isles, indiscriminately indulging her murderous ways in the service of her "boss".
