ORIGIN & HISTORY: Jacob and Ellen Rabinowitz had their hands full from the beginning with their son, Allen. He was always a hyper child, but shortly before his his 12th birthday, he developed actual super-speed powers. While his parents contemplated what to do about the situation, Allen snuck out of the house. He gathered the bits to make a costume from nearby stores and attempted to be a super-hero, saving a crowd of people from a burning building. Upon returning home, his father grounded him and jokingly referred to his new alter-ego as "Headlong". After drinking thirteen cans of Red Bull at Thanksgiving dinner, Headlong broke curfew and interrupted the halftime show at the Dallas Cowboys football game against the New York Jets on national television. He was seen in full Cowboy uniform parading the field, then returned to his own costume to act as Drum Major to the marching band. After running into the stands to smooch Jessica Simpson on the cheek, he returned home to a very angry set of parents. Realizing they were going to be unable to control Headlong, his parents wrote to the Legion of Valor with a plan. Headlong could continue to be a super-hero ONLY under the direct supervision of the Legion of Valor, and must never EVER drink Red Bull again. The Legion agreed, and Headlong was inducted as a special junior member. POWERS & ABILITIES: Headlong's metabolism works at a super-speed rate, processing foods (especially sugar)into super-speed energy. He can utilize this energy for running and rapid-fire punching. He can also freeze people in place or weaken them by "stealing" their speed. His speed can make him nearly invisible under certain conditions, as well as making him more difficult to hit and strengthening his body, making it more impervious to harm. He tends to get extremely hyper after ingesting sugar or caffeine and is forbidden to drink Red Bull after "the incident". He carries a wide variety of common gadgets in his belt pouches, but doesn't use them to good effect, treating them as if they were toys. He usually has to eat a massive meal before going out to super-hero, and must sleep for hours afterward. He commutes between Atlanta and Paragon City on foot.
